How Underdog Streaks and Champions payouts work
Streaks describes how an entry progresses through correct picks. Champions describes a settlement basis that can apply to a winning entry, including a Streak. Read those as two separate questions: what format is the entry, and how will a winner be paid?

How Underdog Streaks work
Underdog’s Streaks Rules says a Streak begins with two picks; after both are correct, the next pick becomes available, continuing toward 11 correct picks. Its published base-prize wording and any modifiers are specific to Streaks, rather than a rate that applies across Underdog formats.
The same rules say later Streak picks continue the entry, void treatment differs between the first two picks and later picks, and Win Now can close a Streak. In a Champions contest, Win Now locks Champions Points, connecting the Streak’s progress with its Champions settlement.
How Champions Points and payouts work
Underdog’s Champions Points article says points are entry fee multiplied by a difficulty multiplier; selection count, selection likelihood, and entry fee affect the points. A winning entry’s payout is its points divided by total points earned by winners, applied to the Champions prize.
Its Payout Differences and Discrepancies article says Champions is peer-to-peer, so more winning points can lower the dollar value of each point. The displayed average prize is an estimate based on past win rates, not a fixed result.

Same hypothetical entry, different winning-point totals
Invented assumptions for arithmetic only: a winning entry has 20 Champions Points and the cash prize pool is $1,000. These are not live contest terms, a forecast, or an Underdog example.
20,000 total winning points: 20 ÷ 20,000 × $1,000 = $1
The entry’s points and the prize pool stayed fixed. Doubling the total winning points halved this illustrative share. That is why points do not carry one universal dollar value and why a displayed average should be read as an estimate.
Decision checklist before interpreting a payout
- Identify the entry format: is it Classic Standard/Flex or a Streak?
- Identify the settlement basis: if it is Champions, check the entry’s points, contest prize, and average-prize wording.
- For a Streak, check its stage: its first two picks, continuation toward pick 11, and any applicable void or Win Now treatment.
- Use the final Underdog screen: it controls the current eligibility, terms, modifiers, and grading.
